Join Bob Romano for a weekend workshop and learn how to increase your dahlia supply by taking cuttings from growing tubers. If you haven't tried this before, it is easier than you might think! Bob is eager to share what he knows, but you will need to schedule an appointment. Gather your friends and get in touch to set up a time! Workshops will be scheduled as needed the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th weekends in April.

A relaxed time when we enjoy sweet treats, visit a cut flower garden and swap garden stories with other members.

Members bring side dishes or desserts to share (6-8 serving sizes), while we visit a large organized dahlia garden amidst vegetables and chickens. Then we share amazing food while swapping stories about life and dahlias.

September 12-13th, 2026
Location: Pittsburgh Botanic Garden
For members: On Friday, we collect the supplies and set up the location. On Saturday, we conduct the show including helping exhibitors set up, judging the dahlias, answering questions and enjoying lunch in a great setting. On Sunday, we take down the flowers and store the supplies until next year.
For spectators: Show open following judging on September 12th to be continued through the day on Sunday, September 13th.

The Society provides the main course and we bring a side dish or dessert to share. (6-8 serving sizes). We start at 1 PM with fun food and then have a quick membership meeting. We usually have results from other dahlia society’s dahlia shows earlier in the season.
